A Significant Person In My Life
Many stop and wonder who is that one person that influenced them greatly but may not be quick to conger up such a person. I however, can rest assure that I have such a person in my life.
Whenever I think of someone to help or listen to me, it is evident I go to the primary person in my life, my Aunt Alicia. She has influenced me in so many ways, always trying to embark me into a right path for the future. I have evolved to the person I am today because of our many talks on countless occasions and problems we have faced together in order for me to get through them sanely.
My Aunt Alicia has the power to influence me in a sufficient way, enough to make an extreme positive change in my life. By watching my Aunt interact with her family, it made me think that I should be more like her to ensure a safe future for myself. I went from being pessimistic to optimistic in order to start making smart choices. I was always negative about everything, never sure if I would make it, always saying to myself that "I should try harder" but thought to myself ‘what would that do?'. Though, with my aunt by my side it changed the way I thought of things and decided to started thinking positive. One of the smart choices I made after changing was to be more dedicated to school and not let anything bring me down. If I was going to be someone sucessful in life I needed to start being more focused and less distracted.
On the other hand, I cannot just stop thinking about how would it have been if I had not taken her advice or have her as an influence in my life. I can only wonder where I would have been had it not been for my Aunt's many courageous words. Sometimes I think I might of ended up dropping out of school or maybe ended up pregnant or God only knows what else.
