Abortion Is Murder
Life begins at conception, biologist and genecist say so why would someone want to take that
life by abortion? However, six million abortions take place each year, 20 million are illegal. Abortion is
illegal in 97 countries however, legal in 54 countries. An unborn child is aborted every 22 seconds
however, Pro Choice activist and the Supreme Court say that unborn children are not persons therefore,
have no rights to interfere with a women's right to decide abortion. There are lots of reason why women
have abortions including: rape, to young, not ready for children, not wanting anymore children and a
few women have abortions due to severe medical risk to child or mother.
Abortion is wrong, its murder it takes a life of an innocent little human being. Therefore, there are
other ways such as, keeping the child or, giving it up for adoption. That child needs its life just like we
have our life. Would we want our life taken away just because we weren't wanted? Those who adopt
their child out have a chance to see it grow up and have a life of their own.
Abortion has been banned before as in, The Hippocratic Oath. It quotes "I will maintain the utmost
respect for human life from conception" and, "I will give no deadly medicine to anyone if asked nor
suggest any counsel nor will I give to a woman an instrument to produce abortion." In 1994 a Florida
woman was charged with manslaughter and 3rd degree murder for aborting her child by shooting her
abdomen with a shotgun however, the baby survived for fifteen days afterward.
Studies done by the Eliot Institute for Social Research say that 28% of women regret having aborted
