Abortion
49% of pregnancies among American women are unintended. It is not difficult to get many different view points on the subject of abortion. Nearly everyone's opinion is different, is it right or is it wrong? Which ever yours may be some might argue differently. Yet it is your choice to decide what you believe or don't believe. It is your opinion, and what you yourself think, even if others differ or try persuasion. It is your own mind and no one can control it but you, you may change it as many time as you like, but it still comes from you. It is your body is it not? You yourself control what you do with it, no one else can make the decisions about what you do with it. If all our bodies were controlled, would we be individuals? What would come after that, attempting control of every ones mind also? Thesis: To prevent children from being born into terrible situations where mothers are not capable of properly caring for them that may lead to life long severe physical and emotional harm, abortions should be legalized in all states.
Supporters of abortion label themselves to be pro-choice. 69 percent of Americans believe abortion should be legal (Hitt 58). Abortion is defined in Merriam-Webster's Colleigate Dictionary as 1: The termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus as a: spontaneous expulsion of a human fetus during the first 12 weeks of gestation compare miscarriage b: induced expulsion of a human fetus c: expulsion of a fetus by a domestic animal often due to infection at any time before completion of pregnancy compare contagious abortion. Some women believe in abortion based on their opinion of it being a moral choice and that they are capable of making their own decisions.
