Abortion has become a serious controversial issue worldwide. In the old days, having a baby was the best thing that a woman could experience- not any more. Abortion was legalized in the early 1970’s and since then about 40,000 abortions have been practiced daily. Why legalize murder? Why legalize such thing? This is the ability to kill with permission. Abortion is a procedure that is done to women in different ways to terminate with an unwanted pregnancy. They see abortion like a remedy to their problem. Each year, almost all pregnancies among American women are unintended, and about half of these pregnancies are ended by abortion (Dudley, S. 2003). Women that decide to abort a baby do not stop and think that there are many people in the world that want desperately to become parents, but nature or a medical reason stops this from happening. Abortion is not the best thing to do with an unwanted child because adoption exists; why kill when there is someone else that might love and race your unwanted child.
In today’s world, women decide to have an abortion without even thinking that this monstrous procedure carries many consequences with it. Not only the life of the unborn child is in instants of terminating, but the mother’s life is also in jeopardy. Women make a use of abortion as a way of contraception and this is not right. There are many ways to prevent a pregnancy. Oral medications, injections, condoms, birth control patches, intrauterine device, are some of the many birth control methods that exist to prevent pregnancies. Unfortunately, not all women use these methods and become pregnant. This is when the mean act which is abortion comes around.
