About A Boy 1st Chapter
In the first chapter from Nick Hornbyґs novel "About ab boy" Marcus and his mother are introduced. After living in Cambridge they move to London, because his mum and his dad split up. Even Roger, who is the new boyfriend of his mother, leaves her and they are alone again. They arenґt demanding and live only a plain life. Marcus is a weird child, because he often thinks like an adult, which isnґt very typical for a boy of his age. His mother is sometimes very sad and cries a lot. They arenґt self-confident, anyway, and they have a lot of trouble, but in general they have a good relationship to eachother, even without a man or a father. Marcus mumґs boyfriend leaves the house, because of finishing their relationship this situation is a kind of weird for Marcus he likes Roger , have spent a lot of time together he accepts, that his muss has boyfriends, because he wants, that she finds somebody, who would make her happy Marcus and his mum have a amicable relationship Marcus wants to know why his mum and Roger have split up Marcus is really interested in the emotions, his mum has he can do what he wants and that nearly in al situations heґs highly selfish and doesnґt worry about people and their feelings trivial things are important he thinks that there is no sense of having children he doesnґt need to work because he has inherited something from his dad he things that he is the coolest guy on earth Willґs friend John and his wife Christine invite him the couple have got a new child but Will isnґt interested in Imogen they ask Will, if he wanna become Imogenґs godfather, but he refuses Will meets Angie, a few weeks after his visit at Johnґs house Marcus first day at school heґs frightened because he knows, that he isnґt right for parties, that heґs too shy and that he has the wrong appearance while having breakfast, his mum tries to encourage him, that his new school wonґt...
