a)       Weekly Journal
i)         Each week students are required to submit reflections on the week’s learning experience.
ii)       Your entry should be a minimum of 150 words.
iii)     Answer the following questions:
(1)   What are the key points in your reading?
(2)   Based on your experience as an educator, how can you apply content from this reading to your classroom and teaching?
(3)   What insight did the reading provide into this week’s topic?
(4)   How has class discussion influenced your thinking on this topic?
b)       Curriculum Outline
i)         You have been asked to present a major address at the annual meeting of the Society for Intercultural Language Arts Education. (SILAE). The topic that SILAE has assigned you is “Language Arts Curriculum Adaptations for Second Language Learners: Writing.”
ii)       Choose either grades K-3 or grades 4-6, and write an outline for your rigorous and aspiring speech.
iii)     Provide detailed descriptions of your adaptations based on everything you have read so far.

iv)     Provide an APA cited bibliography of 12-15 resources used to prepare your speech.
v)       Submit by the end of week eight.
