The Hobbit
The Hobbit is an epic tale of a hobbit known as Bilbo Baggins who gets whisked away on a life changing adventure. The story starts with Gandalf the Grey who puts a mark on Bilbo's perfectly painted green door. This is a sign that brings Bilbo together with his new companions. Bilbo is shocked when they show up and they have chosen him as a burglar for their group. He later found out that the dwarves are taking him on the journey to Lord Smaug's (a dragon) mountain which holds treasures that belonged to Thorin Oakenshield's grandfather (Thorin is the leader of the expedition).
Bilbo's adventure takes place in Middle Earth where he encounters trolls, goblins, wargsand other creatures too terrible too imagine. Bilbo's most benefiting encounter is when he gets lost inside goblin caves. There he finds a golden ring (read Lord of The Rings to find more about it) that along with his stealthy feet make him an amazing burgler. Bilbo and his companions get into many life and death situations, usally they are able to suceed but sometimes they need others to help them. In the end it comes down to how far they are willing to go for their treasure.
This book is for the reader who loves to find the continuous adventure. The hobbit is good for anybody who has a good vocabulary and likes to wonder whats ahead. Also for people who can read hours back to back because once you get started you cannot set this book down. I would rate this book 9/10.
