For: Invisible man

Plot: This books starts out the main character, who is the narrator, telling us that he is an “invisible man.” He then goes on to say that the reason why he is invisible is because he is black, not for the reason of some supernatural causes or something like that. He then tells us that he is living in the basement of a complex that only allows white tenets, and that he is stilling their electricity.
In the first chapter the narrator tells about his grandfathers last words. His grandfather compared that lives of the Black American to warfare. He said that they needed to the “agree them to death and destruction,” referring to the white man.
Then he talks about a speech that he gave in high school. The speech talked about how the black man can advance through humility and submission. He then goes to give the speech in front of the most prominent white men in the city. He then is asked to take part in a boxing match that is part of the evening’s entertainment. They blindfold him and some of his other classmates, who are also black. They then made them box blindfolded. The narrator then makes it to the finale battle and losses. They are then taken to a rug with a bunch of coins and bills piled on top, and tell to take it. Once this takes place the narrator is allowed to give his speech. By then the men are to drunk to care about anything that he has to say. After he has made his speech they give him a briefcase, which they tell him to cherish. When he opens it up he finds in it a full ride scholarship to the state college for black youths. He then finds out that the coins that were on the rug were just useless bronze tokens, but not even that can diminish his joy.
He then has a dream that night that he went to a circus with his grandfather. He grandpa makes him open up his briefcase, in which he finds a letter with the state seal on it. He...
