Should nations establish spheres of influence to achieve international stability?

The concept of the establishment of spheres of influence is definitely a significant factor in determining the ability and strength of a superpower, but is it right or is wrong? ; Hopefully this essay will persuade the reader. People in the richer countries would say creating a sphere of influence is fine and that they are helping that country, but for the helpless usually small country that is being influenced would say it is unfair that they are not able to use their own government and that their sovereignty and rights had been taken from them. Yes, nations should establish spheres of influence but only for achieving international stability. In the three following arguments include reasons why I believe yes is the answer to the question. The three arguments are, because they protect the influenced country from foreign invasion; strategic area towards aggressive country incase of an attack also known as National Security and to reestablish a balance in a possible civil disturbance that could break out other known as Containment.

In possible war situations smaller weaker countries should be influenced by a stronger country aiming for peace because then they can protect the weaker country from invasion from the aggressor country. A very good example for this is the United States’ influence in Greece with the help of the Truman Doctrine. If the U.S. would not have helped Greece it was inevitable that USSR could have taken them over and had a strategic area to attack Turkey. Another good example is Iran after British told Iran that all foreign troops would leave then when the USSR did not the British and Americans went in and forced them out, if this would have not happened Stalin would have had access to an endless supply of oil. The US to make sure the USSR did not attack also sold Iran military goods for potential conflicts with the Soviet Union.
