Albert Einstein
One of the greatest minds to ever live in our history is Albert Einstein. I chose to write about him because he seems to be one of the most famous but I unfortunately realized I did not really know much about him and his contributions. He was known for a lot of things like being a great humanitarian, physicist, and mathematician. It has been said that he contributed more to the scientific person than any other person in the world. Even if he did not personally create the theory, his thoughts and ideas always opened the door for other people to elaborate on. His explorations are currently still being studied in the field of astrophysics. Einstein was also an eccentric that often lived in his thoughts and books. It seems to have paid off, since he received a tremendous amount of awards and had many achievements.
Albert Einstein was born in a small town in Germany on March 14, 1879. He was always top of his class at the Catholic elementary school he attended even though he had speech problems. Einstein’s favorite subjects were math and science at an early age and he excelled in them exceptionally. Albert Einstein was learning Euclidean Geometry by age twelve, which is obviously a very young age for most children to be learning such hard math. By age fifteen, his family moved to Italy and he wrote his first scientific work. He then finished high school in Switzerland at the age of seventeen and enrolled in a math program at ETH; graduating in 1900 with a degree in physics. Einstein also eventually earned a doctorate from the University of Zurich in 1905. In 1914, he accepted a great offer at the University of Berlin.
The genius had a pretty interesting love life as well. He married a woman named Mileva Maric on January 6, 1903 and had two sons.
