It’s time to paint some make-up, dress up like a doll, engage with the latest fashion and bring the best out of your physical appearance. A new theory suggests that external beauty plays more roles in our life, which should at least come as bad news to people who don’t groom themselves. Nevertheless, many have been debating on the topic “External Beauty or Internal Beauty”, and they always use the point that beauty will fade away to support their idea and that the inner character is more important. This is however, very likely, untrue. As years have progressed, people have become excessively concerned about outward appearance. There is such an obsession about appearance that plastic surgery requests have tremendously increased. According to the eVolve Medical Group, plastic surgery is no longer for the wealthy. It is stated that in the United States alone, over 11.5 million cosmetic procedures, both surgical and non-surgical, were performed during 2006. That represents a 446 percent increase since 1997. It appears that the most important thing to many women and even men today is to look good on the outside. Hence, the external qualities are more significant because they convey the first impression, closely related to personality and deliver extra job opportunities.
The first reason why one should judge a person externally is related to first impressions. Definitely, the outer appearance makes the first impression and first impressions do speak loudly. This applies to everything exists on the earth, no matter if it’s alive or lifeless. Due to the visibility of the external look and the invisibility of the internal one, people tend to first judge an object depending on its outer appearance.
