The movie is about the loose weapon law in the United States of America.
It's trying to find out what is making people killing each other a lot more in the U.S.A. than in any other country in the world.
The movie starts out with Michael Moore going to North Country Bank and Trust to open up a bank account and get a free firearm with it. He fills out some formulas and is handed a firearm that he himself have picked out from a catalogue. After that he goes to the barber to get a shave or something and while he is there, he buys ammunition for his new firearm. Then there is an interview with The Michigan Militia, which is a group of men that has formed their own little combat squad to protect the people. After this there is an interview with James Nichols, the brother of one of the Oklahoma bombers, Terry Nichols.
Then there is an interview with the president of the biggest weapons manufacturer in the United States, which I have forgotten.
Then we get to the main thing in this documentary. The Columbine High School shooting.
We see the clips from the surveillance cameras at the school and we can see the two boys running around shooting at everything. While we see the clips we hear the 911 calls some students and teachers made during the shooting.
After this there is a clip with the National Rifle Association, the NRA, which held a big conference in the city within a week after the shooting. We also see protestors against this conference. Then there is a cartoon that shows how the Americans have come to love weapons as much as they do. Then there is a comparison between Canada and the U.S. How the media in the U.S. focuses on the violence, while the Canadian media has a much more broad spectrum of news. The Canadians have just as many weapons as the Americans, but the U.S. has 11000 murders a year involving firearms, whereas Canada has only 160.
