Running Head: STUDY CASE ANALYSIS ABC, INC

Introduction
Carl Robins is a new recruiter for ABC Inc. he has been employed with the company for six months. Carl was given his first major task to recruit employees for the Operations Manager. Carl seemed to exhibit poor planning, execution and lack of follow through. ABC did not provide enough supervision and guidance for Carl on this specific project. Carl assumed everything was ready for the new recruit orientation. Lack of follow through on Carl’s behalf led series of unfortunate events.
Background
In early April Carl Robins hired 15 new employees for Monica Carrolls, the Operations Supervisor. Carl scheduled a new employee orientation for June 15 with the goal to have the new employees working by July. Monica Carrolls contacted Carl on May 15 to have him coordinate the new hire issues which are manuals, drug testing and policy booklets. Carl allowed too much time to elapse prior to looking at all the documentation. Had Carl began checking the new hire paperwork in a timely manner he would have had enough time to obtain missing information. The training room was reserved for the technology services for training on the same date Carl had anticipated doing new employee orientation. (University of Phoenix, 2008)

Without further investigation, root-cause analysis is a mere speculation. Based on the facts given in the case study, I...
