Censorship Needs a Facelift
Censorship in society today has started to become irrelevant in many different circumstances and is occurring in many places where it is unnecessary. Many people today, whether they are aware or not, have in some way been exposed to a censored document, movie, or piece of music. Many people are torn between what should be censored and what should not. Censorship is a violation of the 1st amendment, and in order to uphold the traditional beliefs, in which our constitution so eloquently bestowed upon us, needs to be more loosely enforced. Censorship in our current media is excessive. If someone wanted to watch a movie on TV that is uncensored, they better be prepared to spend a few dollars on pay-per-view. Censorship is everywhere. Music, TV, movies, and books all are under the iron fist of censorship.
Books are the first targets of censorship. Many books are targeted because of references and phrases that are offensive to certain individuals.......
