Risk Assessment Of Malathion
Conservation and Preservation
When we conserve water and electricity we use the products, but we try to use them only when needed. When we conserve a forest we use forests and forest products wisely. However, to preservationists, conserving a forest means preserving it or leaving it in its natural state. The media tends to promote the belief of those who want to preserve our forests as shown in the Bridger Teton video. The general public is lead to believe that that forest management for forest products is harmful to our forests. Forest managers disagree in that they believe that using our forests for products such as wood and paper will harm a forest. They feel that the healthiest forests are those that are thinned and cut according to recommended forest management practices. In addition, these practices allow trees to grow big and strong by providing enough sunshine and room for growth. The trees have less chances of being damaged from insects and disease and the threat of wildfire is reduced. Management area #71 does not know how much oil there is and is stating to research in an environmentally friendly way. Bridger Teton is considered the largest intact untampered ecosystem left and many want it to be left alone due to its uniqueness. We have taken for granted that there will always be enough oil to go around and never thought that we are pushing towards an oil and gas supply crisis within the next two decades. I believe that we should have energy independence and freedom from foreign oil. We should go about it in an environmentally manner and explore and keep the land unchanged with regard to wildlife. I prefer energy independence.
