Cybermarketing
ABSTRACT
This project sets out to find out the actual role performed by cyber marketing in the development of a nation, the exploits it has made and the emergency opportunities it has created in the Nigerian economy. Most of the things that are happening in this our new world is as a result of globalization.
Globalization in its literal sense is the process of globalizing, transformation of some things or phenomena into global ones. It can be described as a process by which the people of the world are unified into a single society and functioning together. This process is a combination of economic, technological, sociocultural and political forces. The word "Globalization" has been used by economists since 1981; however, its concepts did not become popular until the latter half of the 1980's and 1990's. The earliest written theoretical concepts of globalization were penned by an American entrepreneur-turned-minister Charles Taze Russell who also coined the term 'corporate giants' in 1897.
Since the emergence of cyber marketing in Nigeria, many opportunities has been open to people to trade with people from different countries without having to go to where they are to discuss business issues. Another name for cyber marketing or cyber market can be called internet marketing or E-business or E-commerce.
In the course of this study, some literatures were reviewed on the following topics: cyber marketing, advantages and disadvantages, problems and challenges, exploits, starting an internet business, global market, globalization, cyber crime, slaves of the cyber market and marketing in the cyber age.
