The Day That Charlie Went Away

“Charlie, where are you going?” I whispered.
You see Charlie and I where best friends and went to the movies every Thursday. We loved horror films so that Thursday we went to go see the new Texas Chainsaw massacre that was the last night I saw him. I mean I miss him so much, he was my best friend but I’m so confused. I remember his face when he left he had a look of disgust when he passed me. I tried to follow him out of the movie theater but it was like he was never there in the first place. I asked the movie teller if she had seen him leave but she said she hadn’t seen anyone leave. He just vanished. I called his house and his mom answered and said that he was home so I rushed over to his house but it was an empty lot. I thought maybe I was going crazy and forgot where he lived. I didn’t know what to do. Charlie always went to the library when he was upset so I headed over there. I walked into the front door a scanned the area for him but I couldn’t find him. I walked over to the table that he usually sits at and there was a news paper article. The article had a picture of Charlie’s mother on it so I picked it up and read it. I was totally shocked. Was I going crazy or something? I’m 16 years old I don’t believe in ghosts, I’ve never seen a ghost in my whole life. I never even had an imaginary friend. Wait, Charlie is a ghost! The article explained that Charlie’s father was killed in a chainsaw accident and soon after his mother burned the house down while Charlie and she were in it. I am crazy. I miss Charlie.
