Scenery

Driving home from a friends house on a hot sweaty day. Turning right to get on my street, I see many cars and wonder. Then I remember that today was a family party. Walking up to the house was like walking through a garden. There was a mix of carnations and rose bushes lining the edge the of the yard. The pedals of the rose bush would flutter in the wind. Strong wind would blow pedals off of the stem and they would fly off with the cool breeze. The grass was mowed in a perfect diamond cut shape like a person with O.C.D had mowed them. The bushes and trees had been trimmed, and not a branch or stem missed. The rays of the sun beating down on me like the beady eyes of a snake.
The white door and glass windows brightly gleamed in my eyes. I knocked on the door hard and felt my knuckles ache with pain afterwards. As I entered the home, I noticed a light fragrance of roses. The smell brought me back to seeing the beautiful rose bushes in the front yard. Looking down at my feet I can see the reflection of myself in the freshly polished granite stone. Just then the grandfather’s clock startled me by striking three times. The clock is beautiful. It is a tall dark wood stain in color, with gold hands. Turning to my right, I enter the hallway. It is a wide hallway that seems to go on forever. As I enter the kitchen I see white cabinets and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen gleamed with light it was like the first time you open your curtains in the morning. The aromas in the kitchen hit me immediately. The smell of the cooking food in the oven made my taste buds go wild. It made me feel comfortable to smell the mexican enchiladas cooking. I felt like I was at home, and I was. There is an array of goodies to eat on the table such as chips and salsa, and wheat thins. They are called finger foods. I grabbed myself a plate of freshly baked enchiladas. As I took my first bite, my mouth exploded with warm flavor of goodness.
