Finish The Task
Returning to school to finish my degree has been a very exciting time of my life. My biggest regret in life has always been my failure to succeed in academics. This failure has led to many challenges in my life and has also held me back in pursuing the life I want. In this paper I will share my strengths and weaknesses, share my personality and my modes of learning, discuss my greatest challenges, and my plan for succeeding in my academic career.
My Learning Profile
During my time in the classroom I have realized that I am a Reader and a Visual learner. I do best when I can see the information for myself and can get my hands dirty. I have always been able to remember things better when I see them and not when told. Keeping lists of things to do and writing down notes as I go have always helped to reinforce the lessons that I am trying to learn. This habit has been especially important while trying to juggle school and work. It can be overwhelming trying to fit work, school, family and friends all together in a day. This is where my ability to write down reminders really helps me to make sure I finish all the tasks required during the day.
My personality is based described as an Introvert. I tend to me a very quite person unless I’m with a small group of friends. I like to observe people, I like to listen to what they have to say, and I like to try to understand the meaning behind the words before I respond. I am also someone who loves solitude, being alone has never been a problem. I can easily use that time to read, reflect, or just relax. I tend to have fewer friends but my relationship with them is very strong. Judging by my personality and looking at all the self assessments we have done during the course, I fit the profile of an “analyzer” with a few instances of “creator” and “supporter”.
