Editorial On Going Green
Going green is the way to a better, more enviromental way of living. Looking at the way things are right now, i'd say were doing a pretty good job. Scientists have found many different and unique alternatives. We have hybrid cars. Hybrid cars have really taken a toll on todays society. Hybrid cars help the the enviroment and the economy because poeple are not emmiting fumes into the air and they don't have to pay gas every three weeks. many new buildings are using eco- friendly windows and roofs. Many buildings are starting to use plastic for windows which is very efficent. People are starting to get into solar energy, which is energy from the sun. While it is very efficent and don't put toxins in the air, it is very expensive. It costs around $3-$4000, maybe more. it might save you money in the long run though. Car companies are starting to design hydrogen cars which only use hydrogen. the first car should be made from Ford and will be released in either 2009 or 2010. Technology is increasing everyday. Finding new ways to do things. Many people have also found an alternative fuel using household appliances. Thats what called getting creative. By alternative fuel, I don't mean cow, uh "stuff". I mean using Vegitable oil to produce fuel. Sure they used other ingredients to make it combust, but you got to admit that is very unique and very efficent. So the News Times wrote a story awhile ago about toll agencies giving owners of Alternative energy vehicles a discount. this seemed like a good idea for about 5 minutes untill I realized not many people could afford hybrid vehicles, this makes it a bit unfair for the people that don't own a hybrid car. Going green is the way to go. I'm for most of the ideas listed. Maybe not the Toll one. By the look of things and where everything is headed, it looks like going green is the new fad.
