Introduction

EA is a company that is constantly moving and searching for ways to improve and expand its ability to reach and convince new customers. One important manner that EA uses to maintain its competitive position is through pursuing inter-organizational relations or collaboration. Each company possesses different skills, resources and techniques that other companies do not. Instead of developing and acquiring all those factors, companies can make agreements so that they can benefit from each other. When a relationship is formed however, attention should be paid to the way that the agreement is executed. Often these collaborating companies have a competitive position towards the other and therefore interests can be interfered.
When a strategy is formed, the strategist should consider very carefully which existing relations should remain and what new ones have to be searched for. Each different type of division aims for a different strategy and therefore different types of collaboration. In this report the position of EA will be examined and each form of collaboration will be researched.
