This article speaks about a rap artist named Eminem. He has been under-fire by
Different groups ever since he started, but this article speaks of the GLAAD(Gay and
Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation). They said he used the word "faggot" 13 times
On his newest album. The author actually breaks down the word "faggot" into a
percentage compared to every word he used on the album. The author also pointed out
that Eminem uses the word not to put gay people down, but as a reference to his enemies.
Also the article concludes the people who do not listen to Eminem can still get into
Trouble(trying to prove music has nothing to do with people's actions.
I thought this was a good article on how media and different organizations can
Make mountains out of moll hills. The author did say Eminem could be offensive many
times, but really is just a shock-value artist. I think it's important to my paper to get
someone who thinks the same as me on this subject.

The article was talking about the Columbine shootings that happened in April of
1999 at a school in Littleton, Colorado. This newspaper is out of Pittsburgh, Kansas and
seems to have a different view on things. This article is a perfect example of how the
government and media(in this case a newspaper)and push the blame onto gory video
games and offensive music. This article never once spoke how the parents or how the
actual criminals were to blame.
