Evolution Vs. Creation
Evolution Vs Creation
Look at the people around you. Can you imagine them swinging through the treetops or sitting in rows of three quietly picking bugs off each others backs? Amazingly if you believe in evolution, the theory that species change over time, this picture is not so far fetched. On the other hand if you are a Creationist, one who believes the world was created by God, you may be insulted by the idea that humans could ever come from apes. Evolution and creation believers have been quarrelling over which theory is correct since the beginning of time.
Evolution
Evolutionaries believe, " A gradual change in species of plants and animals occurred, starting with a very primitive single-celled life form and ending with human beings." Before humans were on the Earth, dinosaurs roamed the vast lands until most species were destroyed due to an "extreme environmental change brought about by a massive collision of an asteroid with the Earth." It is believed that new species evolved from the few surviving dinosaurs. These new evolved species were able to survive due to adaptations, thicker hair to deal with cold, etc, which evolution could only provide. This is why some people say humans evolved from apes. In actuality, Homo Sapiens and Neanderthals did not evolve directly from apes, but from a common ancestor of the two which is now extinct. "In short, humans and apes are still around because each has found its niche where it survives better than its competitors.".
Evolution theories are believable, according to the way fossils are discovered. Scientists believe that fossil records would show more complex, less primitive species near the surface of the Earth's crust and more primitive species the farther you go down. This proves that more complex species form from less complex species, depending on environment circumstances. According to Evolutionaries, you will not find fossils of highly...
