In every organization management exist to plan, lead, organize and control others in order for any business to grow and survive in this rapid changing world.
The Encarta Dictionary defines management as ‘Administration of business.” That is the organizing and controlling of the affairs of a business or a sector of a business. My interpretation of management is a group of persons who are placed in an authoritative role to lead, plan, organize and control people to accomplish a common goal.
It is management’s responsibility to make people more effective in their role. How then can management teach their employees to work smarter and not harder? This can only be achieved through planning, organizing, leading and controlling.
