Purpose My purpose would be to explain why our workers won’t be receiving our bonuses and how he/she could help us resolve the situation. The purpose would be to explain why we aren’t receiving our bonuses and what we could do differently as a whole the next time to ensure we make our financial goal on time The purpose would be to cancel the trip and explain why I was canceling. Then maybe I could ask for help in planning a future vacation.
Audience My audience would be a business-like crowd. I would have to be thorough in my explanation. My audience would be the people I work with, my co-workers. When talking to my travel agent it would be a more business-like environment unless I have established a friendship with him/her.
Tone My tone would be a very calm and passive tone. It would be in a formal manner. I wouldn’t have to be as formal, but I would try to be a little more business-like since my message would be a negative one. I want them to know it was a business related incident and not personal. My tone would be calm and more laid back.
Content I would explain how we came up a little short and won’t be receiving our bonuses and how he/she could work with me and my other coworkers to make our financial goal the next time. I would first explain how good we did as a group and that despite our success we did come up a little short in making our financial goal. I would then tell them how we won’t be receiving our bonuses and how we can go about fixing the problem so the next time we can reach our intended goal. I would explain why I won’t be able to attend my trip and try to set up another time and date that I would be able to make.
