Gap Analysis: Global Communications
In business, there are often times when a decision has to be made for the welfare of the company and its employees. Global Communications (GC) has faced several issues in the past; however, many opportunities and business ventures have arisen. In examining each issue, there was a correlating opportunity which presented itself throughout. European Social Policy (2006) argues that business restructuring should only occur "where it is justified, i.e. to save jobs and improve the competitiveness and economic development of businesses." This justification allotted Global Communications to restructure, because if they hadn’t their business would fail. Many problems were discovered within GC ranging from depreciating stocks to disloyalty to their employees. This paper will examine Global Communication’s issues, stakeholders, opportunities and ethical dilemmas. In doing so, the contents will identify methods which can be used in order to modify and enhance the present business practices among GC. This paper will identify the gap analysis of GC and provide a rejuvenated vision and innovative goals to carryout a successful future in the company.

Westerkamp (2007) states the first step in enabling one's organization to focus on preservation is by defining symptoms pointing to issues that needs attention, such as low productivity and time management. Several issues were noted in the structure of Global Communications. The first problem is that of depreciating stock. Global Communications stock depreciated more than 50 percent; the stakeholders would include each employee of the company and any person who purchased shares in GC.
