3.0 How Groups Work
You may have some group work experience in many times of your life. It may be experienced in our working place, in the college with your colleagues or in some social welfare work. Wherever you experienced it, what and how do feel group work? Definitely you would say it was great and fun as you have shared skills, knowledge, fun, made some corporate decisions etc. However you seriously thought about this? What is group and how significant it is for a set objective?

3.1 What is Group
Group is a collection of two or more people who work with one another regularly to achieve common goals.

In a true group members are mutually depend on one another to achieve common goals and interact regularly wit hone another to pursue set goals in a specific period of time. The groups help their organization to accomplish important tasks while satisfying needs of their members.

The group when turned into effective group which achieves high levels of task performance, members’ satisfaction and group capability. High levels of task performance in effective groups meet with required quality, quantity and timeliness. Members in the effective group believe that their participation and experience are positive and meet important personal needs and simply they are satisfied with their achievements, tasks and relationships. Effective groups are satisfied their group capabilities and positive in working together again and again.  

3.2 Why organizations should give emphasis on groups

We learned about effective group and its accomplishment as well. How effective group can achieve better outcomes? Are there any reasons for that?
