Heraclitus Logos

My favorite fragment of A Presocratics Reader, Heraclitus is number sixty-four; "The beginning and the end are common on the circumference of a circle." Logos by definition of Heraclitus is the harmony of all things through opposition. While the beginning and the end are opposites, they are directly beside one another; without a beginning there was never an end, and without an end, there would be no beginning. Heraclitus was among the first to say that the unifying element of the universe was not in fact a material element, but a force, law or plan with nature.
I found three seemingly different claims regarding Logos as the power between opposites in the fragments of Heraclitus. First was the co-existence of opposites; an example would be about the fish only being able to live in the ocean where as the ocean water is dangerous to humans.
