Hip Hop
All in all, Hip-Hop is indeed a unique culture; it's rapidly becoming a dominant form of expression. The music industry which was not so long ago faltering has had a major resurgence. The world has been impacted by this African American creation called Hip-Hop. Consisting of four main elements; graffiti art, break dancing, DJing (cutting & scratching),emceeing (rapping); it's a lifestyle with its own language, style of dress, music and mind set that is continuously evolving.
Hip-Hop music is a genre of R&B. Hip-Hop includes rhythmic poetry put over a musical background consisting of beats combined with digitally isolated sound bites from other recordings. The Sugarhill Gang made the first recording of Hip-Hop in 1979 and the genre began to draw attention in the U.S. in the mid-1980s.
