Intercultural Communications

Everyone has their own views and thoughts. People determine how they will react to certain situations based upon how they feel about that current conflict. Other factors can influence a person’s reaction in thought process and decision making as well. How people were brought up through childhood and how the people surrounding them everyday react to certain situations also influence a person’s thought patterns.
Based on the readings I think it’s quite easy to see that everyone is different and we all have different feelings on the different situations that are presented to us every day. We all have different opinions as to what is the right thing to do and what is going to end up being the most profitable to us. I am a fairly easy going type of person so in a sense I would say that I’m more willing to compromise or try and work things out than most people. I would also be more willing to cut down prices on a something for a friend or family member whereas someone who values that money more than I do probably wouldn’t cut the prices in order to maintain their profit level. I believe that all of these thoughts can be traced back to how people grew up.
From our earliest childhood memories we were faced with many various forms of communication and we were forced to learn how to react to them. Based on your upbringing these behaviors were imbedded inside your mind. I was brought up in a family with very little yelling or fighting. That is why I feel that today I am a very easy going person and I don’t lose my temper very often. My mom always tried to communicate to me and brother with encouraging words and helpful pieces of information. Over time we got used to this and it became our behavior as well. However your parents aren’t the only people who are responsible for determining some of your communicational behaviors.
