Islam, or the "submission to God", is one of the most widely growing religions in the world today. When one thinks of Islam they think of the Middle East part of the world. Islam is also the second largest religion in the world. After the terrorist attacks of September 11th, the Islam people have been looked at wrongly in society. Although many Americans see people of the Islam religion as violent terrorist, they are in fact a group of people whose religion is based around peace, much like Christianity.
Islam is based around one being, Allah. Allah is the same God as Christianity, accept there is no trinity. There is only one God. Jesus and the Holy Spirit is not God. The people of Islam are known as Muslims. There are about one billion people who are Muslims. The Qu'ran is the Islam sacred text. It was revealed to Muhammad.
