The Gospels of John and Mark
Each gospel author paints a different picture or Jesus of Nazareth. In this essay I will show the parallels and differences between John's Gospel and the earlier gospels (mostly Mark), as I discuss the anonymous evangelist(s)' conception of the word of God.The first thing I learned when I went to the lecture about Hanukah was that it is not a Jewish Christmas. The first lady to speak made sure that was clear. She spoke about the history of Hanukah and the traditions that were used in most Jewish families. The festival of lights lasts eight days and eight nights. It began with Alexander the Great in 356 BC. According to tradition, you light the menorah one candle a night. They did this because apparently in the past, they had very little oil and could only light one candle a night. She then talked about food and how most of it was greasy and fried.
