The movie "Last Chance" depicts a delinquent young boy growing up, trying to adjust to the norms people have set for him. Juan Carlos as a young boy grew up with his prostitute, drug addicted, mother and slept in a car with three other siblings. His father was often absent in Juan's life. Juan had been in 35 different foster homes and was kicked out for aggressive behavior and stealing. No one would adopt Juan, and he would have to go to a shelter. Juan's behavior was so uncontrollable he was sent to a boot camp. Here he learned self respect and to respect others, to take responsibilities for his actions, and accept the consequences of them. Here Juan let down his ‘protective shell'. He grew attached to his Sergeant. Juan mentored at this boot camp and seemed to enjoy being there. Juan was placed in the home of a Sociologist and his wife. The sociologist was doing an experiment for his master's degree. At this home he was expected to go to school and keep out of......
