Book Review - The Geek Gap: Why Business and Technology Professionals Don’t Understand Each Other and Why They Need Each Other to Survive
About the Authors
Bill Pfleging and Minda Zetlin authors of the Geek Gap are a great partnership for the topic of this book. Bill the more tech savvy of the two is currently a web and computer consultant. He has worked for companies such as IBM, Tripod.com and Lycos Network. His most recent company of choice was Lycos Network where he was the Director of Internet Community. Minda on the other hand provides the business expertise offering more than twenty years of experience writing about management, business, and workplace issues. Minda’s most recent body of work is Telecommuting for Dummies. The two of them noticed that information technology world and the business world had a huge disconnect and failed to understand each other on a regular basis. This caused them to team up and bring both worlds together based on their experiences and bridge the gap which they have coined as “The Geek Gap”.
