Invulnerable Love
The poem "Whoso List to Hunt" by Sir Thomas Wyatt is affected, by his adventurous, daring, mischievous life during the Renaissance period. Wyatt describes his undergoing pain and suffrage of his pursuit of love through Whoso List to Hunt". During his first 8 lines of his poem he writes about how he desires Anne Boleyn. Wyatt states that whoever wants to indulge in chasing a girl, he knows where to find one, but as for him he is done with chasing Anne Boleyn. He feels that this whole chase is not worth it, at all. Besides, he writes that he is the last one in the group and he would not have a chance. Nevertheless, as she fades, and fades away of his life bit by bit, he cannot help but to remain his eyes on her for hope of return. Even though he knows the outcome, all he does is follow fainting, still blinded by hope and her beauty. Now, Wyatt's feelings change during these next 6 lines as he describes finally that he cannot have her. He lastly recognizes his hunt to be as fruitless as seeking to catch the wind in a net up because he accepts that there is no point in chasing something that one cannot posses. He believes that whoever hunts her, it is useless they will not have her, they cannot have her, so he counsels others that they would be spending their time in vain. Engraved in diamonds in simple letters, there's written a message around her neck that basically says "Don't touch me for I am Caesars and I am wild even though I may seem tame."
