Love
Many people speak of the word love, but they don’t know the true meaning of the word. Love is more than just a feeling that some say they feel in they’re heart. Love derives from emotion, attitude, feelings, and commitment to someone or something. Commitment is the key to love. Once a person vows to commitment to someone or something, they will do any and everything for him, her, or it. Many people commit their live to sports, their jobs, family, and so on. Some people are so committed to their team that they will never miss a game, and if the team loses they cry, and if they hear someone talking bad about their team, they will be willing to fight for them. This is why love is so powerful a word, and most people don’t take it lightly. As for me, I love my wife. When I decided to make a commitment to my wife and ask for her hand in marriage. I knew she was the one I could spend my life with. Love is a beautiful thing and should not be played with.
Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary describes the word love as “the object of attachment, devotion, or admiration” (Love). I have always been devoted to my wife, weather if things were good or bad. When you love someone, nothing else matters. You take the good with the bad. This is where a lot of people make mistakes because they always think that once they find their loved one that everything is going to be perfect. Nothing is ever perfect, and this is how love is put to the test. I asked a divorced buddy of minds: When did he realize that he loved his wife? He told me at first sight (Williams). He continued to explain that after they had been married for two months that he could not commit his self to just one person, so regrettably they divorced (William).

From my understanding of talking with him, not only could he not commit to his wife but their relationship was also struggling financially and physically. These are just parts of the great test of love....
