PC and Mac
You may or may not have heard about the controversy over whether or not to get a Mac or a PC. Well, I’m going to tell you some of the issues about the two. The differences between Mac and Pc have been like night and day. Over the years, the two computers have started to merge their design and style. However, they still have a lot of their own differences.
To begin, the operating system in the computers vary, but the OS’s names; they vary a whole lot more. For example, with Microsoft, the manes of the operating systems are more diverse, yet sensible. We Start with dos; dos is one of the more complicated operating systems in the market. Then windows appeared. Windows started simply with windows. Then it went to windows 3.1. On to Windows 95, then Windows 98, to 98se, then to windows 2000, from here they came up with windows millennium, then the all too familiar windows XP, and the most recent, Windows Vista. Now Microsoft is planning to create a new operating system, Windows 7. On the other hand, the Macintosh names are simple. This is because of the number of the OS. The number of the OS shows how old it is, the higher the number, the newer the version. The only confusing thing is that Macintosh puts animals’ names in to their OS names. (i.e. Mac OS X Tiger.)
In addition with the new operating systems out, compatibility issues arise, Windows and Macintosh use to not have hardly any drivers for anything. You would have to either download the driver from the internet or order the driver from the manufacturer. Nowadays, both Windows and Mac have gotten together with all other companies of electronics and have gotten the drivers just for about anything. Even if the computer does not have the driver it will automatically download it from the internet. Although Macintosh is good with drivers, it will not allow user to install any “good” games on it.
