2. Who delivers some prophecies to Macbeth and Banquo, and what are the prophecies?
The three witches deliver some prophecies to Macbeth and Banquo. The witches states that Macbeth will be Thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor, and King. The witches told Banquo lesser than Macbeth but greater, not so fortunate, yet much happier, thou shall father kings, though thou be none.
3. To whom is Macbeth referring in scene iv, when he says "The Prince of Cumberland! That us a step /On which I must fall or else o'erleap"? What does his statement mean?
Macbeth is referring to Malcolm when he makes his statement. This statement is saying that either Macbeth is going to forget about what the king has done or he is going to do something about it.
4. At the end of Act I, what have Macbeth and his Lady planned? Explain their plans.
At the end of Act I, Macbeth and his lady has planned to kill King Duncan. Their plans are to get into Duncan's castle when he is asleep and kill him. Lady Macbeth will give Duncan's chamberlains wine and spiced ale to make them sleep. After they have killed him they plan to smear blood on the chamberlains and leave the dagger with them so it would look like the chamberlains killed Duncan.
