Because of C&C Industries pending move to China, I have accomplished an in depth
study of overall conditions in China. My main focus for my research was culture and
customs of employees and the how current conditions will affect the overall business
operations of C&C Industries.
The population of China is estimated to be 1.3 billion, with a growth rate of around .57
percent. Chinese citizens account for a little over 22 percent of the population. The
national language is standard Chinese or Mandarin. China has extremely diverse
weather; tropical in the south to sub-arctic in the north. Telecommunications throughout
China are modern and efficient. Because they recognize the importance of airports and
seaports in economic progress, China has developed a sophisticated air and sea network
that would more than adequately support C&C Industries shipping requirements.
China has created a facilitative business environment that is directed towards attracting
foreign businesses. They have established modern industrial facilities and business
support services. Working with laws and regulations in a foreign country can be
difficult; China has streamlined their administrative procedures as well as updating the
commercial laws and regulations to meet international business needs. Favorable tax
laws and economical stability also assist in making China an excellent opportunity for
C&C Industries. Because C&C has female employees, I thought it wise to ensure that
our employees would be treated fairly.
