Charles Manson, one of the most psychotic persons that has ever lived in the United States, is currently serving a sentence of life imprisonment at San Quinton and has since served 36 years in prison and will be able to go forth to a parole board in 2012. He is also known as one of the most sinister and evil criminals of all times. He organized murders that shocked the world and his name strikes fear into many American hearts. Manson’s childhood, personality, and uncanny ability to control people led to the creation of a family like cult and ultimately to the bloody murders of numerous innocent people including Sharon Tate.
Charles Manson was born on November 12, 1934, to a 16 year old prostitute named Kathleen Maddox in Cincinnati, Ohio. His mother, a heavy drinker, once sold him to a waitress for a pitcher of beer. A few days later his uncle picked him up. In 1947, his mother tried to place him into a foster home but, failed. The Court then placed Manson into Gibault School for Boys in Terre Haute, Indiana. Ten months later he fled and went back to his mother, who then rejected him. Manson than robbed a grocery store so he could rent a room for a place to sleep. Later on he got caught stealing a bike and got went to an Indianapolis Juvenile detention center. Manson didn’t have the greatest childhood of all times no one in his family wanted to keep and he was in and out of juvenile detention center after the last detention center he came to California, San Francisco and stayed there couple years and later mover to Barker Ranch in Death Valley.
Like all cult leaders, Manson had his own small band of followers. Manson’s influence was so great that his followers were willing to kill for him at his any whim.
