MEMORANDUM FOR BROKE FINANCIAL
1300 I NEED MONEY AVENUE, SUITE DOLLAR
POOR, CALIFORNIA 93000
FROM: 555th AIRCRAFT MAINTENCE SQUADRON/CCF
1234 KING LANE
KESSLAR AFB, MS 39000
SUBJECT: Indebtedness Letter, 11 July 2050
Dear, Mr. Charles M. Burns
1. This is in response to your request for assistance in liquidating a financial obligation with SSgt Carl Carlson. I was able to discuss your complaint with SSgt Carl Carlson. He should be contacting you within the next week. SSgt Carl Carlson has been briefed about how the Air Force expects its members to pay their just financial obligations in a timely manner. However, it has no authority to arbitrate, intervene in, or enforce settlement in matters of this type. They are of a private civil nature for resolution in the civil courts and by any other available civil remedies.
2. When appropriate, the Air Force does take action designed to improve discipline and to maintain the standards of conduct expected of Air Force personnel, but such action cannot be used to require a member to satisfy a personal financial obligation.
3. I hope the above information clarifies the limits of Air Force authority in this matter.
Robert L. Johnson MSgt, USAF
555 AMXS/CSS First Sergeant
