Mood Disorders In Adolescents With Childhood-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder

This article is a study and research on children with ADHD with mood disorders. The researchers try to find a correlation between increasing and decreasing risk between children with and without ADHD. The researchers prove to be very knowledgeable in their findings. They look at every detail of their lives to figure out what exactly it is that contributes to these risks. From questioning how they feel about themselves in situations to what is happening to them at home, in school, at work, and how they feel about it. The article also suggest many disorders and how they relate to the patient. The research shows that different internal and external symptoms cause different mood disorders. Such as, a high demanding work area may start to develop as an anxiety disorder for a child who is not using ADHD as a crutch and a depressive mood order if the child is using ADHD as a crutch. By crutch, I mean as an excuse as of why they cannot complete the task.

The percentage of children with depression or anxiety is relatively the same; the only thing that is different is how to predict whether it’s from internal or external factors. With children with ADHD, they tested it was easier to prove from the external factors.
