Morality
I think that human nature is essentially imperfect. Meaning that we are neither good nor bad, and depending on how we are raised reflects on how we react to a situation. It is “nurture” not nature that truly makes us who we are. I also believe that being a good or a bad human being is a matter of perspective. For example rise in world’s pollution, crime, inconsistency in the distribution of income between the rich and the poor is considered bad. On the other hand if you look at programs people have created to help the poor, reaching out to the less fortunate, advances in technology can be considered good.
Morality purpose is to define the shape of a given society. The morals a society adopts define its people, formation of its civilization and are the foundation of the culture. Morals are subjective to the situation and circumstances, but when they are applied in a society, they provide consistency.
I think humans are inherently good babies are born like a blank slate; they learn what is good and bad.
I believe that morality is the interaction among human needs, desires, emotions, beliefs, and reasons. Therefore, the term morality is not always understood in one way because of the world of different people.
I agree with the concept of morality being an interaction among human needs, desires, and emotions beliefs. Since morality touches every aspect and moment of our life. Morality manages all of our contacts with our family, co workers etc. Morality determines our attitude towards politics, war and peace, to our children, to our parents. In order to have effective interactions with other human beings a clear understanding of morality is important.
The more precisely our thought processes and our emotions are aligned with our environment, the more advanced will be our ability to avoid painful conflicts with reality and the more enhanced will be our ability to achieve happiness.
