Music Violence
Heavy Metal Rock, Rap and Techno have emerged as the most popular forms of music these days especially in today's young generation which mostly include people in the age group of 15-24.These forms of music have negatively effected these teenagers in almost every aspect of their life may it be their dressing or the way they talk or act. The behavior of youngsters is related strongly to that of the most popular artists of that time and the themes of the music they play. Majority of music is focused on themes such as aggression; Satanism, violence etc. and most of the artists use explicit lyrics and words in their songs which are of significant appeal to the youngsters. These forms of music use harsh vocals, depressing visuals in their music videos, driving rhythms and controversial lyrics and tend to create restlessness, depression and disappointments in the audience. As a result, youngsters driven by these powerful tools react by involving themselves in drugs, sex, suicide and criminal activities which in fact are posed as means of ending all the misery and despair by the music artists.
In short, music these days creates some serious negative qualities in teenagers and then presents some even more adverse remedial measures to these making the situation even worse. The main problems associated are following.
Music has been used to promote increasingly harmful ideas. Music promotes drug abuse in teenagers. All artists of rap and rock present drugs as a passion and they tend to take the audience into a world of fantasy by the use of soul touching beats and powerful lyrics. These artists themselves are on deadly drugs such as cocaine, heroine, and ecstasy.
