My Big Fat Greek Wedding is a story about the bond of a family, and how they
all come together and look out for one another. Sometimes having a caring family seems
like a burden when all one wants to do is live their lives to their own accords. Although
My Big Fat Greek Wedding primarily focuses on a Greek family with Greek traditions,
the concept of family is universal and one can find a family just like theirs anywhere
across the world. Every family has one if not more Toula's, Maria's, Gus' and so on. In
my family I have just about every character portrayed in the film, but the character that
stuck out the most and had the strongest resemblance was that of Maria in comparison
with my very own mother.
