President Bill Clinton

A hero is determined, intelligent, and courageous. Given these traits I decided to write about one of my personal heroes, President Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton is a hero to me because he gave me hope of achieving my goals and being able to pursue my dreams.
Bill Clinton was a very determined person. He was an excellent student in his school age years and was also a very talented saxophone player. He even considered becoming a professional saxophone player at one point in his life. Bill Clinton was a member of the Boys Nation in high school. While a member of this organization, he got to meet President Kennedy in the White House Rose Garden. Meeting President Kennedy caused Bill to pursue a career in the public service field.
Clinton was a very intelligent man. He graduated from Georgetown University. He won a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University in England in the year 1968. Bill also received a law degree in 1973 from Yale University. Shortly after receiving his law degree he entered Arkansas politics. Bill Clinton was the governor of Arkansas until 1992 when he defeated President Bush and became the next President of the United States.
In 1998, President Clinton was almost impeached. He had an affair with an intern. When word got out and he was approached about the affair, he lied under oath and said there was never any affair. He apologized to the nation for his actions and his approval rating had still been very high, despite everything that had happened. He was very courageous through all of this. He almost lost his job and his wife. But he pulled himself together and his marriage and his job were saved.
