My Work

My very first job was in the year of, 2005. I was employed at KFC. KFC gave me the opportunity to be a citizen in the real world.
            Having my first job working I was able to take care of myself. I bought a lot of material things such as clothes, shoes, accessories, kept my hair done, etc. I was up on all the high fashion designer clothes especially Baby Phat, and Roca Wear. Lebron James is my favorite basketball player so I kept a new pair of those shoes every time a new pair came out. I wasn’t making that much, but I was able to buy the things a sixteen year old would want.
            Working at KFC I was interacting with other people. Gave me the opportunity to meet new people, and how to deal with society. Some customers were nice some were very nasty. Most of the time there were very nasty people who would come in there to order food, or return food. One incident was a man order food from drive through, and I guess his order wasn’t made wright, so he came in threw his food on the counter. He demanded to have his order fixed in a very nasty tone. Instead of saying it in a more manner able tone he was very nasty. We as employees would have to take that tone of talk and remake their orders.
          I dealt with the nasty customers for about a year. I was getting so fed up with the nasty out busts mostly everyday, so I quit my job. I was unemployed for about a month and a half. I realized how much I needed my job. I couldn’t buy myself all of the things I use to buy when I had my job. It was really killing me. I had to start back asking my mother for money. That I wasn’t going to have, so I had to find me another job real quick.
      After a few months searching for a job it really paid off. I found another job. A job that I did not have to deal with so much of the nasty customers.
