Remember The Titans
The movie Remember The Titans is a movie watched in class rooms all over the world. This movie is used as an influence, and teacher. It teaches us about all the struggles people went through just because of color. It teaches us to never give up like how Julius and Gerry never gave up on each other they learnt to trust each other. This wasn’t easy for them at first because of color and wondering if they could trust each other, but it all came together on and off the field somehow they clicked and become brother like. The team saw how they were and they learnt to do the same in camp. When they got home the realized how the community didn’t want them to be together at all soon they split up again, but then they realized that it wasn’t what other people thought they could still be brothers so they overcame all the drama. On the field they worked hard and together. All of the other teams didn’t like them because they were interracial and made a big target but they didn’t let that stop them at all.
They stood up for there teammates and never looked back or thought twice about it. This is why this movie is seen all over America and countries allover because is shows teamwork and how to come together. I first watched this movie in eighth grade, at first I thought it was a movie just about football, but as I got older and read about the nineteen sixties and how African Americans were treated I saw the true meaning. In the movie based on something that happened in real life the coaches were also of different race you had Coach Herman Boone the black outspoken coach and then u had coach Bill Yoast the white coach who at first was mad at him for taking his job and then grew to love him and his team.
