Should Night Life Be Legalized
Nightlife is the collective term for any entertainment that is available and more popular from the late evening into the early hours of the morning. It includes the pubs, nightclubs, bars, live music, cabaret, small theatres, small cinemas, shows, and sometimes restaurants a specific area may have. Nightlife encompasses entertainment from the fairly tame to the risqué to the seedy. Nightlife entertainment is inherently edgier than daytime amusements, and usually more oriented to young adults. Under some rubrics, Nightlife also encompasses such "adult entertainment" as a red-light district.
In our country, nightlife has carried negative social stigma and became a huge controversy. Due to this issue, our government imposed lots of regulation that prohibits the existence of nightlife. But realized or not, our efforts to eradicate nightlife seem useless. Nightlife cannot be stopped for growing; yet, it can be controlled through legalization and localization. The government and the society in general may take advantages from the legalization of nightlife especially in economic prosperity, social term, and security. The reason why should the government consider legalizing nightlife also includes the comparison with other countries which have successfully legalized their nightlife area through imposing some specific regulations.
The main advantage derived from the legalization of nightlife is its ability to increase the economy prosperity. As the government legalized some specific areas to become locations of nightlife, it has developed new tourism object that can be operated professionally. Those places can be developed by businessman or private enterprises by making more restaurants, bars, and music entertainment. Furthermore, the localization of nightlife may also decrease the unemployment rate, because as a professional tourism object, it can absorb people to work in.
