Introduction
In this essay I will briefly examine what is organization and how it functions. Then I’ll try to evaluate and analyze the motives/motivation of employees to work effectively in organization. Also I’ll try to examine why it is so important for our understanding of the way organizations functions. In addition I’ll try to assess the reasons of organizations to restructure and to change during the time. In addition I’ll try to examine the possible outcomes for employees during the downsizing and restructuring periods in organizations.
Finally I’ll draw a reasonable conclusion.

Organization.
First of all it is important to examine –what is organization. And why it has to change during the period of time.
Organization is a social arrangement for achieving a controlled performance in pursuit of collective goals(1). Organization itself can not have or formulate goals. Only individuals, groups of individuals can: for example in” The goal’ the goal of Rogo and his colleges was to save the fabric from the shut-down.
A simplified goal of every organization is to make money in order to sustain organizational growth, develop and beat it competitors. However there might be also socially oriented goals like in ‘Body Shop’ or ‘Greenpeace’ organizations for example. The goals of organization should be clearly defined and there should be a clear but rather flexible structure related to their achievement, otherwise organization will function rather ineffectively.
Moreover Organization should always scan environment around, using PESTLE analysis and thus change in order to fulfill market demand and business requirements.

For this purposes Organization needs to know what it resources are capable of doing and what they should do. It is important that recourses are used efficiently, otherwise additional costs are involved.
